Activities of the Japanese Folktales Data Base (JFDB) Committee are supported by Grant-in-Aid
for Scientific Research from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. Researchers and collectors of Japanese folktales have interviewed many story-tellers all over Japan and recorded thousands of tales. The JFDB Committee tries to preserve these recordings and present them for research and educational purposes. Please listen to Japanese folktales and enjoy the atmosphere of tale-telling.
