Happy New Year, Mochizuki Seminar!,
How are you spending your winter holidays? I hope you are enjoying yourselves.
I had a wonderful vacation although I spent most of my time in a quiet
dormitory. On a New Year's Eve, some TV programs showed the New Year's
countdown in multiple countries, live. So I counted down for the New Millennium
seven or eight times with the people around the world on TV. I felt how
big-scaled America is, providing that I was able to celebrate in different
places around the world at different times. I heard the TV stations used
approximately 54 satellites for this event. For the countdown in Lincoln, I
went downtown and saw a laser show which displayed numbers on a building wall
for the millennium-to-come, and then, the fireworks erupted at the moment of
the Millennium.
I wish that this year will be filled with li,
