Homework for LEVEL 2 and 3 (every week)
(1) Download the audio tracks from the link below with the password given in class;
(2) Listen to the first three words or so of each track to locate them in the English book;
(3) (Paper book): Scan and mark the audio tracks in the English book. This will be very useful for the QQ and the test;
(3) (eBook): Please, type that information at the beginning of your QQ document only if you work with the eBook only
Please try to get the English book as soon as you can;
(4) Read the book in Japanese for the assigned section that corresponds to the English book;
(5) Read and listen to the weekly section of the English book several times (on the train too whenever you can) until next class;
(6) Compose 1 question for each audio track (about 7 quiz questions) every week (each question must be from different audio track);

Please check the criteria in the QQ Guide before sending.

IF you do all that and keep on going even if you don’t understand much at first
THEN you will certainly improve your understanding and your pronunciation… be patient and diligent…

The main goal of this multi-level course is to improve overall fluency including speaking, pronunciation and confidence through the listening and reading of a complete novel in English and its progressive understanding.
Homework provides an integral context for the improvement of global skills through regular, independent study with audio tracks and reading material, forcing the use of English through regular daily practice, and preparing for ORAL PARTICIPATION in class. ATTENTION: The first meeting is extremely important for guidance, missing it will certainly create a significant disadvantage.

SECOND SEMESTER / SECOND HALF OF THE BOOK:
We proceed with an almost equal amount of audio tracks from the book every week. There is a chance for everyone to end up with a good grade, but the best grades can only be obtained by:

(1) QQ=composing and sending weekly Quiz Questions with IDENTICAL format as in the QQ guide,
(from the target audio tracks), and checking the Criteria before sending by email,
(2) BR = correcting BR1 (or BR2) for the BEST REVIEWS;

(3) SP=speaking up in class (with the Point System);
(4) completing the quizzes when (and if) they are made available through your good care.

The possible total is 800 points, but only 650 points are needed for a maximal grade.

Conversion Formula

0~49% = F =0~149 points

50~59% = C = 150~299 points

60~79% = B = 300~399 points

80~89% = A = 400~549 points

90~100% = S = 550~650 points

POSSIBLE TOTAL = 720 = about 111%
